Modinat Saka, a 32-year-old landlord, has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly stabbing her 40-year-old tenant, Ganiu Abdullahi, to death during a heated domestic dispute in Agbado. The fatal incident, which occurred on Ifelodun Street, has shocked the local community and raised concerns about escalating interpersonal conflicts.

The altercation took place around 7 pm on Wednesday, beginning as a verbal disagreement between Saka and Abdullahi. According to police reports, the situation escalated into a physical confrontation inside Abdullahi’s room, culminating in a violent exchange that ended in tragedy.

Police sources indicate that Abdullahi allegedly attacked Saka with a piece of broken glass, injuring her hand. In response, Saka is said to have retaliated by stabbing Abdullahi in the chest with a broken bottle, inflicting a fatal wound.

Abdullahi was pronounced dead at the scene. Responding officers secured the area, collected forensic evidence, and photographed both the crime scene and the deceased to aid in the investigation.

The victim’s body was promptly moved to Life Channel Morgue on Olambe Alausa Road for a post-mortem examination. This procedure will help determine the precise cause of death and support the ongoing inquiry.

Saka is currently in custody and will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) in Abeokuta for further investigation. Authorities are preparing for potential prosecution pending the outcome of the probe.
